The RotaScope Generation ll cabinet is a modular scope storage system that is upgradable.
At the heart of this system is a side channel blower which put positive air into the cabinets and creates a vacuum to draw hepa filtered air through the scopes.
1-2 Cabinet Fan - 1Ph 240V 0.55kw (3.1A). 3-4 Cabinet Fan - 1Ph 240V, 1.5kw (9.0A). 5-6 Cabinet Fan - 3Ph 425V 3.0kw (12.5/7.2A). The Heat exchanger remove heat from the air and allows cool air to be delivered to the cabinets.
Depending upon the level of complexity desired the system, which is modular, can have more and more features added.
In basic form the system consists of RFID “Operator Tags” and RFID Silicone “Scope tags” that are fitted to the scopes. The Tags are set up using a device called a “Master Writer” which is connected to a local PC. When a cleaned scope is ready to be stored the operator simply swipes their “Operator Tag”, then the “Scope tag” when prompted by the digital display. Load the scope in any position in the Rotascope cabinet and the Digital Display on the “Data Disc” on the centre pole will display the countdown status time of each scope. This is the basic form of the data management.
Add printers: Printers can be added in the Reprocessing room and/or theatres side if the cabinet is pass through. The printer produces a duplicate copy of the Storage Times and Operator details and shows the “Last time this scope can be used is 00.00” One copy can be filed and one copy can remain with scope to provide the users a guide to the validity of the scope.
Add Data integration and group up to five cabinets, refer to the PC screen to see the real-time status and location of each scope. Output the activity, time and operator details to a searchable spread sheet log which produces reports for activity and infection control monitoring.
The data can be output to integrate with other comprehensive tracking packages.
The RotaScope Data management system can operate without connection to the hospital server to keep things simple, or can be fully integrated to provide output and remote access.
